Success Rate
Although our IVF success rate is consistently high at 50% to 60% from year to year for the past 10 years, the real success rate for any individual patient is anywhere between 0% to 100%.
Treatment of infertility is a science but never an exact science, thus, there is no guarantee whatsoever that a patient will get pregnant with any attempt. While our fertility specialists are talented individuals in the IVF field, but none, neither physicians nor embryologists, with supernatural powers that can magically resolve infertility over a course of IVF cycle treatment. There are many natural as well as human factors that can affect the IVF outcome include the following:
- age of the woman ( and consequently, her ovarian reserve )
- normalcy of the uterus, and semen quality
- success or failure of fertilization and cleavage in vitro
- number of embryos transferred and cryopreserved
- adequacy of the luteal phase after transfer
At Xpert Fertility Care, we stress the fact that IVF success rates are, after all a statistic number that at times can be confusing and misleading and provide little meaningful guidance for an individual patient hoping to achieve pregnancy with IVF. Each patient is a unique individual with a unique medical history and unique set of circumstances that will determine her likelihood of achieving a pregnancy if she receive proper medical care in our experienced IVF center. Our patients are treated as individuals not as objects on the IVF assembly line of some "Baby Factory" where strong economic incentives are the main focus with all kinds of "gaming" tactics.
Our fertility doctors as always are ready to offer our patients the intelligence, responsiveness and compassion. Together we travel on the journey regardless how rough it could be.
